From its state-of-the-art facility in North Dorset, Dextra designs and manufactures a wide range of commercial lighting products, encompassing both standard offerings and bespoke designs, complemented by diverse control options. 

With a workforce of approximately 500 dedicated employees, it has the capacity to produce an impressive 20,000 light fittings weekly. Dextra’s operations consume nearly 85 million LED chips annually, generating a turnover of £86.5 million in 2024. 

Comprising subsidiary companies specialising in distinct market sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, local authority, retail, rail, airports, cold store, warehouse/logistics, and architectural/colour change, Dextra undertakes an array of prestigious projects. These include installations at Gatwick Airport, DEFRA - Horizon House, Kings College Hospital, Alexandra Palace as well as collaborations with major UK supermarket chains and nationwide and European rollouts with high street retail chains. 

Dextra consider themselves very fortunate to have a long standing and loyal employee base.  Based in Gillingham, they have direct access to the London Waterloo / Exeter trainline and ease of commuting from the wider county road networks.
