Dorset Business Angels (DBA) is a network who invest in start-ups and early stage high-growth businesses at pitch events quarterly. Directors are unpaid, it is a passion to help angel investors find opportunities and companies source vital funding.
I discovered the need to pitch, when raising money for my startup. After this, I helped grow other businesses. I was a founder director of DBA in 2012.
My corporate career started in sales, rising to plc director across a variety of sectors including engineering and finance - UK and international.
Activities past and present include: CIM Chair, Charity Trustee, and now active patron of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, plus a keen tennis player at West Hants.
