Bournemouth University is the largest higher education provider in Dorset and plays a key role in driving vital skills into the local workforce.

Matched to the needs of the region, the university has three Faculties; the Faculty of Health, Environment and Medical Sciences; the Faculty of Business and Law; and the Faculty of Media, Science and Technology. The university teaches subjects such as nursing, midwifery, environmental sciences, engineering, media and visual effects, business management, law and sport. Many students choose to undertake a work placement during their studies, boosting local industries – and the university’s partnership with the local Hospital Trusts provide placements for students on healthcare courses that puts students on the frontline of health and care in Dorset.
