Vaspba

Vaspba Remote Piloted Systems Ltd was established in 2018 by Nicholas, a Royal Navy veteran with extensive expertise in Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) operations, along with his son Daniel. Headquartered in Weymouth, the company embarked on its mission to sell, repair, and operate a diverse range of remote control vehicles tailored for land, sea, and air operations. Their initial success stemmed from the widespread adoption of IP67 rated waterproof drones.

Benefiting from a team with years of combined experience in UAS operations, Vaspba proficiently executed aerial tasks including mapping, surveys, inspections, and photography. Currently, the company concentrates on catering to military, emergency services and utility companies, driven by the outstanding capabilities of the SD4 drone model. This model is distinguished for its performance in adverse weather conditions, capacity to operate on water, and ability to carry a 2kg payload. Continuous enhancements have allowed the SD4 to accommodate advanced payloads such as thermal cameras, live water sample sensors, and sonar depth finders.

A significant milestone for Vaspba was the acquisition of full UK rights as an OEM for modifying the SD4. This empowerment facilitated seamless integration with external systems. From assembly to updates, calibrations, and test flights, all operations are meticulously conducted within the UK. Vaspba's fully equipped workshop ensures meticulous testing of the drones to verify IP ratings.

Now based at the Dorset Innovation Park, this led to development of additional drone models — including their own custom built flight controller, more waterproof designs and FPV systems — all built with UK and NATO friendly components to eliminate supply chain risks and security concerns.
